Obituary For Robert Eugene Williams

Graveside service for Mr. Robert Eugene Williams of Talladega, 78, will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Lane Chapel Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at the funeral home.

Mr. Robert Eugene Williams was born on June 17, 1947, to the union of Sam Henry Williams and Luvenia Turner Williams in Talladega, Alabama.

Mr. Williams dedicated his life to Christ and found his church home at Lane Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. He was a graduate of Ophelia S. Hill High School in Munford, Alabama. Robert dedicated a number of years of service to Georgia Pacific. On October 30, 1963, Robert and the former Arie Mae Turner were united in holy matrimony. To this union three children were born. Mr. Williams enjoyed hunting, fishing and doing mechanic work.

On the morning of Monday, December 7, 2020, Mr. Williams answered the Master’s call at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Sam and Luvenia Williams; three brothers, Henry Williams, Arthur L. Williams and Charles Williams; one sister, Ada Williams; a brother-in-law, Charles Ray McKinney; and a daughter-in-law, Janet Williams.

Cherished memories will forever be in the hearts of his wife, Arie M. Williams of Talladega, Alabama; three sons, Jeffery (Loretta) Williams of Columbus, Georgia, Donald Williams of Talladega, Alabama and Spencer (Linda) Williams of Jacksonville, Florida; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Williams of Talladega, Alabama, Josephine McKinney of Pensacola, Florida, Joyce Williams of Talladega, Alabama and Betty Welch of Detroit, Michigan; two Godchildren Terrell Boyd and Jerrell Boyd; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
