Our family is still in shock...simply without words. But we will always have fond memories of a happy-go-lucky kid with endless energy and a big bright smile! His cousins (Jovanna and Joseph Jr.) will never forget Byron's humorous personality and the constant rays of light, energy and quick wit that he added to their spring break trips with Aunt Bridgette. May he rest in eternal peace in heaven above. Uncle Joe, Aunt Gina, Jovanna and Joseph Greer

I will remember a young man who always wore his heart on his sleeve. You never had to guess what Byron was feeling! He was a joy to have in my class and I cannot believe he was taken away so cruelly. Please accept my family's thoughts and condolences.

To Byron's Family... We will always remember sweet, mischievous Byron with fondness and love. We had so much fun on countless escapades with the young ones when Byron lived in Maryland - Festival of Lights, Kinderfest, Ocean City, Christmases, swimming, games and so much more. Gone much too soon, but God wanted Byron with Him, so he was called to his new home, safely ensconced in God's hands. Our deepest condolences to Byron's family and all my love to Auntie Bridgette & Uncle John. ~ "Auntie" Betty & Lily

We at Samuel Ogle Middle School in Bowie, Maryland would like to send our condolences to the family of Byron Hicks. We know there's nothing we can say to take away the pain you and your family are feeling at this tragic time. Just know that we will keep you wrapped in prayer. Byron was a very intelligent student who always kept me laughing. He use to stop in my room every day just to say and Hello and to see how I was doing. Hearing this news broke my heart. May Byron rest in eternal peace. Sincerely, Nikki Ra'uf (nichole.rauf@pgcps.org) Samuel Ogle Middle School
