Annie was born in West Virginia July 8, 1924. She was the daughter of Mary and Rossie Roberts. She married a friend that her brother introduced her to, Walter Cardwell, in January, 2016 he transitioned after 70 years of marriage. Annie loved to spend time with her siblings, dance and play basketball. She also love to cook and crochet and later passed down her skills to her grandchildren. Annie prided herself as a homemaker, she had dreams of being a nurse but chose family life over her career. Her life was a living example of bible verse Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgive one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ. Annie loved all her family and taught by example how to be slow to talk and quick to listen.
Annie leaves to mourn: her children; Lala (late) Anthony, Vonzile, Boysie and Lashawn. He brother; Joseph "Pumpkin" Roberts, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
