On December 15, 2020, Mr. Roscoe Artis departed this life at 8:00 a.m. in Hookerton, NC.

Roscoe Artis was born on December 2, 1941 to the late Leonard Scriven and Susanna Artis in Raeford, North Carolina. He attended Laurel Hill Elementary and Upchurch High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Jethro Artis.

Roscoe Artis leaves his love to his four children: Joyce Artis of Charlotte, NC, Curtis Artis of New York, Shanda McDowell of Gastonia, NC and Tron McDowell of Gastonia, NC; special friend: Miss Mary McDowell; four sisters: Pauline Smith of Fayetteville, NC, Jacquelyn Watts, Maxine Andrews and Kimberly Pride all of Buffalo, NY; two brothers: Earsel Pride of New Hampshire, and Winfred Pride of Atlanta, GA, four grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Roscoe , I leave with you my peace. I give unto you not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
