Obituary For Mr. Milus Chatman

In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Milus Chatman. Viewing will be Saturday, December 26, 2020 12:00 until 3:00 PM Milus Chatman, affectionately known as “Mike”, passed peacefully at home while asleep in bed. Milus is the Son of Ella Mae Chatman and Joe “Brut”Chatman who both preceded him in death.

Milus Served in The United States Marine Corp for 4 years and is a decorated Vietnam War Veteran. Upon his discharge from the Marines, he served time as an Atlanta police officer, a US Postman, as well as an Entrepreneur. Ultimately he retired from Sears Roebuck and Company.

Mike was the life of the party and loved telling jokes. One of his favorite pastimes was relaxing and listening to old music.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Sylvester Chatman.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia Chatman. He is dearly loved and will be missed by his three daughters, Valerie Chatman, Chanda Chatman, and Sabrina Roundtree; son-in-law, Vernard Roundtree; two sisters, Elaine Chatman and Charlene Boatman and their long-time husbands; his Grandsons, Robert Walker III and Mikal Chatman; his two, “little Girls”, his grand daughters, Toni Pringley and Sydney Matthews with husband Jamaal Matthews; great grandsons, Robert Walker IV and Jonas Matthews that will miss him and will adore his legacy; two best friends; he also leaves behind his protector, an American Bulldog named Gabbi and a host of nieces and nephews, in-laws, and extended family, as well as old friends and longtime neighbors.
