I only knew Larry for a couple of years but felt a kinship with him that I cannot describe. He will be missed greatly. His smile and positive attitude were I factions. Cannot believe he is gone. RIP, FAIR WINDS AND SUNNY SKIES - Mitch S

My deepest condolences to the family on the loss of Larry. Seeing him at the flying field always meant it was going to be a great day regardless of how we did with the airplanes or weather—-because just hanging out with Larry was so much fun. He was always in good spirits and always ready with help, encouragement and humor. I'll miss Larry's hilarious and honest FB posts. Fly free my friend, I had some great times flying formation on your wing. Wishing you clear blue skies on new wings.

Words cannot describe just how awful I feel about the loss of a dear friend and flying buddy. I have known Larry for many years and never once was he not cheerful, light hearted and fun to be around. He had a knack for capturing some of my not so greatest RC moments and we would laugh about his videos for weeks. I always looked forward to seeing what he posted after an event. I wanted to see him so badly when he was in the hospital to offer him words of encouragement, but unfortunately, that was out of the question. In retrospect, his positive attitude touched many people and I for one will never forget him. My deepest condolences to his family. My heart just breaks for them during this difficult time. R.I.P. Larry Gray. Tom Tiarks

My fondest memory of Larry Gray was, when he prophetically spoke over our lives saying, "we would have very good jobs and drive jeeps." As God is my witness every word came to past. He was my very best friend and I will miss him dearly. I can still here him calling me out loud,"Hey Murph. R.I.P my Brother! Charles Murphy.

I met Larry after I married his best friend Charles Murphy. Larry was a wonderful person who was full of life. His love of planes reminded me how some women are about buying the latest purse or shoes. His laughter was infectious and his energy. My heart is heavy and I will miss him dearly. I have to remember he is flying with a higher purpose now. May you rest in peace always. Lisa Murphy

I met Larry at the North Branch flying field several years ago. Over those years, Larry went out of his way to include me in his group of friends and in all his flying activities. I will most remember his constant encouragement for all those around him. Larry, during the season, I could count on your early morning texts announcing where you were flying and inviting us to join him. Larry - rest in Peace. - - Jeff Randolph

I was not fortunate to know Larry very long, however, I feel so blessed to have known him. I met Larry, like so many, at the flying field. He had that unmistakable voice and infectious laugh and it naturally pulled you toward him. When he would fly, he did so with confidence, boldness and daredevilish spirit which drew me in even closer. You could count on Larry for a quick joke or jab to lighten things up and always, always a helping hand (or foam) when needed. Like so many, my heart is heavy and on those days when I'll be flying, I will be comforted as I will look up not only to track the flight but look towards the heavens and feel Larry's spirit. My deepest condolences to his wife Audrey, his children Nathaniel, Larry and Sarina, family, and friends. He will be deeply missed. Chris Ciullo

I also had the privilege of knowing Larry for a short time but I enjoyed and respected his reputation among members as a great RC flyer with a friendly, think-out-of-the-box attitude. It is always difficult when we lose a friend and fellow flyer, but even more difficult when it is due to Covid-19. May Larry rest in peace and his family and friends take solace in the wonderful times he spent with them. Mike Pappas

The joy Larry exhibited with his flying buddies was infectious. So much fun to watch him interact with everybody. He'd offer some advice, sarcasm where needed, frustration when necessary; but always with a laugh on wry smile. He'd welcome you to whatever he was doing and make you part of the project. I will never forget how he truly cherished his time with all of us. Thankfully he recorder just about everything. Larry... you may no longer be with us but you will always be part of us. God bless you in eternity and his family. Felipe & Karen Trucco

Larry and I first met when we both took our RC pilot test on the same day. He was a much better pilot, but that shared day remained a permanent bond between us. I remain in shock and can't contemplate days of flying without Larry's smiles and laughs. I know he'll be watching and giving me advice from on high to keep my planes out of the trees. Rest in Peace, brother, and have those perfect flights in the skies of Heaven. Jerry Lustig

Larry was one of those people who was just fun to be around. His upbeat, can do attitude was infectious. Always ready to help you solve a problem and give you the confidence to fly a new plane. He will be sorely missed. John and Susan Samtak

I have only had the privilege of knowing Larry a short time. But his warm and friendly personality made it seem like I knew him much longer. Always willing to help out a fellow flyer at the field. He will be truly missed and I know the next flying season will not be the same without him. He touched many lives. Your gear is down and locked, you are clear to land buddy. May you rest in peace. With Love and Prayers for your family, Steve Mitcheli
