Obituary For Annie James

Reverend Annie L. James, 64, of Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at UPMC Pinnacle Osteopathic Hospital.

She was born in Rogers, WV, daughter of the late Elizabeth Belcher Griffin-Clark and Robert Griffin, an Associate Minister at Grace Temple Church of the Living God, where she served faithfully in many ministries local and state and a former loyal employee of Homeland Center with 16 years of service. Reverend Annie was the widow of George "Bear" James and she leaves to celebrate her life; her sons, Ryan, and Joseph: her daughters, Evette, Mary, Messiah, Sarah, Deborah and Hannah; her brothers, Robert and William Griffin; her sisters, Eloise Williams, Margaret Jackson, Christine Lane and Patricia Griffin; her 15 grandchildren; her two great-grandchildren, her great-uncle, Herman Belcher; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Her life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30 in the Sanctuary of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Apostolic Resource Center at 1201 N. 17th Sr., Harrisburg with viewing from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Paxtang Cemetery. Covid 19 guidelines will be observed with masks and six foot Social Distancing for all attendees.
