Obituary For Ms. Shannon Covington

Shannon “Big Sister” Covington, daughter of Dorothy and the late Roy Edward Covington was born on August 18, 1969 in Dillon County, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at her residence.

Shannon was educated in the Public Schools of Dillon County, South Carolina. She worked with Gensis Restaurant and Brandi’s Banquet Hall for many years.

Shannon was preceded in death along with her father; her son: Quentin Hamilton Covington, Sharon “Little Sister” Covington, and memorable friend: Carl Norman.

Shannon leaves to cherish her loving memories ~ her mother: Dorothy Covington of Dillon, SC; four daughters: Cassandra Manning, Dorothy Covington, Angel Harrison and Infinity Burns all of Dillon, SC; three sons: Brent Covington of Boston, MASS, Parrish Covington and Ronald McRae both of Dillon, SC; eight grandchildren: Tiquin Covington, Niem Newell, Zymir Covington, Nicholas Allen, Gabrielle Manning, Laila Covington, Brent Covington Jr., Chance McRae; two sisters: Gloria Covington and Sandra Thompson both of Greensboro, NC; four brothers: Roy {Shirley} Covington Jr., Richard Covington, Vincent {Sabrina} Morrison all of Dillon, SC, Edward Covington of New York; one god-brother: Quadi Thomas of Dillon, SC; four aunts: Lizzie Jones of Greensboro, NC, Denise {Alexander} McRae, Ada Mae {Jimmy Lee} McCallum, Dorothy {Don} Powe all of Dillon, SC; three uncles: Fred {Mary} Scott, Ronnie Bethea, Dibro Covington all of Dillon, SC; a special best friend: Tim Fenton and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
