I light this purple candle in honor of my honorary mother. I will truly miss Mama Getsie. We would call each other often just to check on each other. Over the years, her and I developed a close bond. I would visit her to take goodies or to help her with whatever she needed as much as I could. I still have the white kitten who is a grown cat that Mama Getsie gave to me a few years ago and I named her Snow White. She was my honorary mother in my wedding on April 13, 2019 because I felt like God placed in my life for a reason and I wanted her there on my special day. I was happy to get a chance to speak to her a couple of days before God called her home. I am truly shocked and heart broken, but she will forever be in my heart with all the memories we created 💜. To the family, especially Deon, thank you for sharing your sweet mother with me. God bless each and everyone of you.
