Chester W. Thomas

Chester Wesley Thomas was born September 23, 1945 in McRae Georgia. He was the son of the late Roy Thomas and Geneva Leaks. He was married July 30, 1968 to the late Dorothy Brooks-Thomas. To this union were born two daughters. Yolanda Michelle Thomas and LaWanda Bridgette Thomas. He is proceeded in death by his brother Willie Lee Thomas and four sisters-in-law. He was a dedicated member and trustee of Richland Missionary Baptist Church. He was a truck driver and the neighborhood mechanic. He was a caring and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He leaves to cherish his memories seven children Sheila Haggins, and Chester Hightower Sr.(Sheryl) of Boston, Ga. Yolanda Thomas, LaWanda Thomas, and Teresa Williams of Thomasville, Ga. Maurice Thomas (Renise), and Troy Thomas of Colorado. Nine grandchildren Antony Anderson (Alyssa), Chester Hightower Jr. (Shonta). Shakara Anderson, Chasane’ Linton, Detavius Williams (Whitney), Brittani Wyche (Stacey), Tramell Anderson, Cortazia Dent, and Josiah Thomas. Nineteen great-grandchildren. Also to honor his memories five sisters Margaret Williams, Argie Barnes, Dora Lee Burch, Nellie Thomas, and Linda McCaskill, and one brother Roy Thomas. Five sisters-in law Christine Brooks, Judy Brooks, Cynthia Brooks, Sonja Pittman, and Laticia Brooks. A dedicated son-in-law Gerald Linton. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends to share in his memories.

Graveside Service for Mr. Chester W. Thomas will be held Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 12:00 noon in the Boston Community Cemetery, Boston, GA. Family Visitation: Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 6:00-7:00 PM in the BTW Funeral Services Chapel.
