CHURCH POINT - Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Ms. Mary Katherine Citizen, 69, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point, LA. Interment will be in Our Mother of Mercy Cemetery #2.

Father Emmanuel Awe will be officiating the funeral mass.

Ms. Citizen leaves to cherish her memories: her fiancé, Ernest Lafleur of Ville Platte, LA; one brother, Nalve (Patricia) Citizen of Church Point, LA; two sisters, Shirley Chachere and Sable Bill, both of Church Point, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Beatrice and Eluse Citizen; two brothers, Joseph Lee and Roland Citizen; and two sisters, Ethel Mae Chavis and Willa Mae Sias.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church.
