JJerry W. Kellam, 66, of Eden,NC died December 31, 2020. Public viewing will be held Friday, January 8, 2021 from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Eden, NC. The family will have a graveside service on Saturday, January 9, 2021 11am at Goodwill Baptist Church Cemetery, Madison, NC . LIVESTREAM WILL BE AVAILABLE

On December 31, 2020 angels were sent to the Green Valley Medical Center to escort Deacon Jerry Wayne Kellam, to his heavenly home. Jerry was born November 14, 1954 in Rockingham County, North Carolina, to the late King Ezra “Ed” Kellam and Annie Frances Webster Kellam. Jerry was educated in the Stokes County public school system. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1976 and proudly served his country for 4 years. In his civilian life he was employed in several industries but found his place with Pine Hall Brick Company in Madison, NC. After 26 years of dedicated service Jerry retired in 2016. In his early life, Jerry accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He joined The Greater Burning Bush Independent Holiness Church in Stoneville, NC, under the leadership of the late Bishop Willie B. Harbor. While at Burning Bush, he answered the call to serve and was ordained Deacon. Jerry’s Christian walk later transitioned him to serve at The New St. Paul Baptist Church in Eden, NC. Over the years, his Christian journey led him serve in several capacities in the Lord’s house. Jerry loved the Lord with all his heart and always made sure to heed His voice. He faithfully carried out his duties and made certain that everything was in place for worship. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene, Edward Jr., and Leroy Kellam.

Jerry was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. To cherish his memories, he leaves his wife, Valerie Kellam of the home. His sons Jerome “J.J.” Kellam and Jerod “J.T.” Kellam both of Eden. Stepsons Curt Patrick and Sedrick Patrick. Stepdaughter Alicia Parker (Brooks). Two Grandchildren: Joslyn Kellam and Jace Kellam; Three Step-Grandchildren Aliyah Parker, Brooks “B.J.” Parker, II, and Clay Parker. Three sisters, Francis Broadnax, Teresa Welch, and Mona Galloway; two brothers, Ronnie Kellam, and Calvin Kellam (Wille Mae) all of Madison, Sister-in-Law, Dorothy Kellam of Ohio. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Special friends Bishop & Lady Robert Kellam, Mr. & Mrs. J.B. McClinton, Nelson Hairston, Cynthia Johnson, Veronica Clark, and Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Hamlet.
