Josie Clincy Miller

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., Autumn Woods Cemetery, 4000 W. Northside Drive, Jackson, MS 39209.

Josie Nell Clincy-Miller was born February 13, 1936, in Madison County, Mississippi to the late Hazel B. Brown-Clincy and Zettie J. Clincy. She was united in Holy Matrimony in 1956 to Willie Earl Miller, Sr. who preceded her in death. Josie was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on September 29, 1974, where she remained dedicated until her health declined. Josie, who was affectionately called “Dollbaby”, was educated by the Jackson Public School District. She retired from the dietary department at University Mississippi Medical Center, after 25 years of service. Josie departed her life on December 28, 2020, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by loved ones. Josie had a brother Clifton Clincy, Sr., a daughter Patricia D. Clincy-Sumlar, two sons Willie Earl Miller, Jr. and John Ceasar Miller all who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two sons, Deval (Mary) Miller, Sr. of Jackson, MS and Gregory Miller of Corpus Christi, TX; a daughter, Angela Miller-Hobbs of Clinton, MS; two brothers, Michael (Ennie) Clancy of Chicago, IL and Charles (Janet) Clancy of Moss Point, MS; 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
