My sincere condolences to the family. Ms. Hanker son was my PE teacher in Melbourne and the only teacher who made sure I had a gym suit in my size. She asked if I had one & I said, "No, it's not in my size." She said, "Don't worry, I'll get you one." Two weeks later, she called me in her office and gave me my first gym suit. Now, I could dress out and look like everyone else. I later went to FAMU and saw her occasionally. She remembered me and always said, "Hey Davis". I enjoyed seeing her at the FAMU football games. Even though I thanked her for my gym suit, I don't think she really knew how much her efforts were appreciated and how much confidence she gave me with her pep talks. She was my favorite! Always had kind words and a smile. RIP, you made a difference! Matrena Davis

I work at TMH and when Miss Brenda was there as an auxiliary volunteer, she was always a bright spot in my day! Her attitude and smile were infectious. I would see her out in the community and she was always the same. I cannot imagine the hole her absence has left in your family. I pray that God will lend you comfort during this time of loss. God bless, Susan Warren
