Keenan was one of my students at Hephzibah Junior and High schools. I taught physical education, driver education, health and safety classes and coached football and base ball. Keenan crossed my path many times during those years. A good student and athlete. But I best remember him for his musical talent. I seem to Rembrandt him playing in a band with Torres Knight and the Howard brothers. I am sorry to hear of his passing.. Reading the tributes from others, Keenan had a good life, surrounded by loving family and friends. Coach Hardin

Picking up my Carl from school and making sure he was good, you did so much all around that is why everyone knew you. I wish we got the chance to speak one more time. It would have been great, Thank you for sending me love and well wishes this summer when my little one came into the world. Checking in on us at the right time and Keeping it real with me on our vehicle talks(😉🚙) There are things in life that happen and they make us sad but I know the memories I have of you I get to cherish and enjoy. Mr. Keenan was a delight to be around with his smile, laughter and willingness to help and educate people on anything in the kitchen. He even gave me advise to put ice cubes into my garbage disposal to keep the blades sharp. Wow! He was not only a caring and thoughtful coworker but family because he was interested in planning a fishing trip with my son and his nephew. I will truly miss him and always be thankful for his kind and generous support when I was out sick. To his family - Thanks for sharing Mr.Keenan with us - CYS (I can hear the staff cheering for him at one of our award's staff meetings) and especially me... I was blessed to have him in my life. 💞Edna

Mr. Keenan you will truly be missed at CYS & especially CDC Main. I remember the last time I saw you was in the parking lot at Base OPS right before Christmas. You had that big smile & we chatted for about 15 min. I will miss our talks, your big smile, kind heart and always positive. I know you are smiling down on us from heaven. You were an angel on earth and now a angel in heaven. Like I have said before we need more Keenan's in this world.... Miss you with all my heart. Your Legacy in life was amazing.. Thank you for all you did for CYS and those you came in contact with. Angela Davis

Mr. Kennan you were like a father figure to me. When ever you told me that you wanted something to eat I cooked for you. Words can't express how sad it is to lose such a great person who would walk into work together each morning. We would both speak to each other at the same time. Your favorite line is always "Mrs. Bennett what are we going to do with them". I will always remember that you never let the job get you down even when you were disrespected. You always keep pushing forward in grace. You can never be replaced. You were a true angel and I will forever miss you. Mrs. Bennett

Mr. K. was always giving advice to everyone at the Main CDC. He helped with whatever we needed on the job and outside of the job. Whether it was helping with our vehicles or homes he was always willing to help. He enjoyed my deviled eggs when we would have potlucks at work. I hate that he missed out on the eggs the Wednesday before Christmas due to his leave. I will miss him talking about my eggs and asking about my son whom he was always interested in hearing about running track. Rest on Mr. K!! Job well done!!! Tracy C
