My Dearest Tommy, Lisa and family: We are so heartbroken having just learned of the passing of sweet Connie. The world was simply a better place with her in it. We were fortunate enough to meet Connie and Tommy (and then Angel) as neighbors in Westover Hills West. There was never a day we did not see Connie without a smile on her face and a kind word to share. Getting to know Connie (and Tommy and Angel), was certainly a highlight of our life. Attending the Redskins Training Camp with her, going out to dinner, our afternoon visits, walking the dogs and simply seeing her in the neighborhood, was simply a delight. She was a strong and courageous women who led with compassion, something we could all use more of these days. We send hugs and prayers to all. Karin and Gary

Tommy, please accept my dearest sympathies. I recently learned of Connie's transition and immediately felt a hole open in my heart. She was truly a beautiful spirit, who will be missed by me and so many others. She taught me a lot about loving and forgiveness by the way she lived her life. I'll forever cherish the memories of times spent together with you and Connie (and Skip). May your own memories sustain you and the peace of God envelop you.

To me She (Connie) became the Mother figure in my life that I loved stopping by and checking on Her and Pops and just sitting and talking with them and making sure the two of them are behaving and that they were good. I am going to miss my visits of just being able to talk and laugh with her. Eric Branch

My husband and I met Connie almost 40 years ago. She greeted me with her beautiful smile and that sparkle in her eyes and it didn't take long for us to become friends. We shared many good times together at social events, family gatherings, club activities, playing games, listening to music and just enjoying times together and with our families and friends. We didn't do as much visiting in the more recent times as we got older and slowed down but we tried to stay in touch. She and her hubby Tommy have remained dear friends to John and me. We'll miss you. RIP Connie.❤ Love, Pearl and John Charles Thomas

Dear Tommy and Lisa, I was so sorry to hear of Connie's passing. My memory of her was as such a vibrant person, kind, soft, caring and beautiful. We met at VSU as students and were friends while there. We lost contact afterward, however, reading the tributes lets me know that she remained that person throughout her life. Our thoughts and prayers as with you and pray that God will bring you comfort and support as you deal with your loss. Melving and Shirley Tutt McCoy
