Obituary For Dorothy Mae "Dot Knight

Funeral service for Dorothy Mae Knight, 79, of Opelika, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 583 South Broadnax Street, Dadeville, AL 36853, with interment in Mt. Pelia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 377 Lee Road 78, Camp Hill, AL 36850, Pastor Fred Hutcherson will officiate.

Ms. Knight, who passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at her home in Opelika, AL, was born July 2, 1941 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.

Public viewing for Ms. Knight will be Friday, January 8, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

She leaves to cherish her memory: companion, Bobby Presley of Dadeville, AL; god-daughter, Marissa Ruiz of Milwaukee, WI, five sisters, Mary Sue Card of Lanett, AL, Deborah A. (Thomas) Scott, Harpersville, AL, Prudence Williams of Childersburg, AL, Vivian J. Young of Birmingham, AL and Ola K. Milner Childersburg, AL; five brothers, Elder (Doris) Knight of Opelika, AL, Kenneth (Antoinette) Milner of Oxford, AL, Marvin (Emma) Milner of Byromville, GA, Willie E. Milner of Talladega, AL and Bryant J. Milner of Alpine, AL; brother-in-law, Tony (Elaine) Presley of Dadeville, AL; a host of many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 5835 Broadnax Street, Dadeville, AL 36853.

Due to COVID 19 Concerns and guidelines the Family of Dorothy Mae Knight has requested that funeral attendance does not exceed fifty people.

CDC recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when around people outside of their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
