Obituary For David Abraham Drager

David Abraham Drager, 78 of Bowie, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 6th, 2021 in Dallas, TX.

A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16th, at the Saint Peter Lutheran Church in Bowie, with Rev. Larry Knobloch officiating.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 15th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

David was born July 29, 1942 in Clovis, NM to Adolf and Bertha (Cooper) Drager. As a young man he served his country in the United States Army. David married Vonita Henzen on April 7th, 1963 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hereford, TX. David was a true farmer at heart, and he enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Saint Peter Lutheran Church for 15 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lillian Batenhorst and his brother George Drager.

David is survived by his wife Vonita Drager of Bowie; daughter Darlene Geis and husband David of Bowie; son Anthony David Drager and wife Crystal Joy Northam of Bowie; grandaughter Aubi Lynn Johnson and husband John of Bellevue; great-grandchildren Blake and Hayden Johnson; and brother Paul Drager and wife Celia of Plainview, TX.

Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of David to the Saint Peter Lutheran Church Building Fund at P.O. Box 133, Bowie, TX 76230.
