Irene Hutchins Guyton was born on January 6, 1937 into the loving family of the late Mr. Jesse & Mrs. Adline Hutchins. She received her education in the Attala County School District.

As a young child, she confessed her life to Christ and became a member of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church in Sallis, MS. She enjoyed quilting, attending choir programs, and her all-time favorite was Lee Williams & The Spiritual QC's. Irene never met a stranger and was loved by all her family and friends.

On January 2, 1954, she was joined in holy matrimony to Ike Young Guyton. To this union, they were blessed with two children.

On January 6, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS, her Heavenly Father reached down and touched her calling her home to eternal rest and peace. She leaves to cherish the warmth of her presence and smile: one daughter, Ilene (Roy) Harmon; one son, Kennedy (Regina) Guyton; three sisters, Christine Nash of Sallis, MS, Viola McCall of Milwaukee, WI and Ruby (Mervin) Foster; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Her husband (Ike) father (Jessie), mother (Adline), four sisters, four brothers, one sister-in-law (Roy) and one grandson (Kentrell) preceded her in death.
