Obituary For Gwendelyn Diane Johnson

Gwendelyn Diane Johnson was born on February 2, 1957 to the late Johnie Johnson and Rebecca Hudson. Gwendelyn matriculated through the public school system and ultimately attended Fort Pierce Central High School. She enjoyed fishing, watching her classic television shows, attending church, and spending all her time with family and friends. Along with her family, she was loved by all who came into contact with her.

On December 31, 2020, Gwendelyn Diane Johnson slipped away from this world of trouble. God had granted her eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Johnson; father, Johnie Johnson; sister, Clara Johnson; nephew, Terrance Johnson; aunt, Clarissa Thompson.

Left to cherish her memories are her spouse Samson Jennings; son, Cory Johnson; brothers, David Hudson of Maryland, Johnie Johnson, Jr.of Connecticut, Quinton(Patti)Johnson of Fort Pierce, FL, Benton Johnson of New York; sisters, Brenda Rancy of Fort Pierce, FL, Stephanie Johnson of Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.

Public viewing for Gwendelyn Johnson will take place on Friday, January 8, 2020 at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel in Vero Beach, FL between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00pm. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, January 9, 2020 at 11:00am also at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel. Burial will immediately follow in Sebastian City Cemetery.

Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID 19 have been relaxed, we here at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff.
