Obituary For Trista Nicole Smith

Trista Nicole Smith, 37, of Hastings made a graceful entrance into Heaven’s gates on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at The Roberts - Satterwhite Campus for Care and Compassion Center in Palatka, FL. The daughter of Stanford and Doris Givens, Sr., she was born on Wednesday, September 21, 1983 in St. Augustine, FL. Trista was affectionately known as “Nikki” throughout her family, friends, and community. She acquired her education in the St. John’s County School District and graduated with the Class of 2002 at Pedro Menendez High School. Trista successively attended St. John’s Technical Center where she launched the studies of Cosmetology. She subsequently became employed with Big Lots and became the assistant manager. Trista furthered her career path and became employed with STAT Medical Office Services where she was a dedicated employee for the past 8 years. She exemplified a humble servant’s soul through her radiant smile and amiable spirit.

In addition to her father, Trista was preceded in eternal rest by her brother, Derrick Givens; paternal grandfather, James Givens; maternal grandparents, John and Myrtle Evans.

She leaves to cherish her undeniable love and memories: loving and devoted husband, Jermaine Smith; children, Trystan Jones, Tomas Jones Jr., Trenton Jones, Jayden Smith, Bryanna Smith, all of Hastings; mother, Doris Givens, Hastings; paternal grandmother, Elouise Romer; sister, Trenae Hoskin, Palm Coast; brothers, Stanford (Shamekia) Givens, Jr., Palatka, Darrius Givens, Hastings; father and mother – in – law, Jasper and Shirley Smith, sister-in-law, Shana Smith Palatka; brother-in-laws, Keith Smith, Kevin Smith, Carlson Session, Calvin Smith, Darrenton Harris, Sr., Antwon Smith, Marquis Jackson; 5 nieces, 7 nephews and 1 great niece, 10 aunts, 7 uncles, 6 great aunts, 3 great uncles, Godbrother, Clifton Flagler; a host extended family and sorrowing community.

The Smith Family will receive extended family, friends, and the community on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 6:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. at Coleman’s Mortuary Chapel. Graveside service will be 12:00p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Palatka Memorial Garden. There will be no viewing on Saturday. 4070 Silver Lake Dr Palatka, Fl 32177
