On December 25, 1939 the Harris and Spencer family was blessed with the birth of Elnora Bernice Goodson. Bernice departed this earthly life on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Bernice was educated in the Orange Public schools in Orange, New Jersey. Bernice worked for New Jersey Bell as a telephone operator and retired from there.

Bernice was very family oriented; she loved taking road trips, traveling and family vacations. She enjoyed cooking and a very friendly person and could make you laugh when you were sad. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Goodson; a loving daughter, Tracey Goodson and a sister, Emma Grier.

Bernice leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories ~ four sisters: Joann {Archie} Williams of Conyers, GA, Vivian {Pete} Townsend of Piscataway, NJ, Hadiyah {Amir} Mohammed of Plainfield, NJ and a special sister: Betty Whittle of Dillon, SC; two brothers: James {Edna} Spencer of Baltimore, MD, Charlie {Leah} Spencer of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren: Justin Goodson of the home, Yaameena {Timothy} Drake of Florence, SC, Yaameen Goodson of Fort Mill, SC; twenty-one great grandchildren; a special son: Johnny Bernard and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
