To one of the greatest friends I've ever had, Bonnie White. We have shared so many wonderful times together. We've laughed, cried, prayed, and praised God together for so many years. Pastor John was always so kind, full of wisdom and knowledge which he had no problems sharing with me. The both of you helped me learn how to be a better wife to my husband and I believe you all are partially responsible for these 36 years that William and I have been together. I believe Pastor John is resting in the arms of Jesus and you are continuing to be led by the spirit of God. God is with you always! We love you! 😍😘😍😘❀ William and Shelia Brown

Our family and the world has lost a great guy. Elder White never met a stranger, and he met people where they were, even as Jesus did. John and I grew up as brother and sister, not Aunt and nephew. I was older but he taught me how to rode a bicycle. We always kept in touch and he could always cheer me up. He was our family Historian. He will be missed but never forgotten. My love and prayers are with the immediate family. Aunt Gladys Johnson- Bradley

The family and the world has lost a great guy. He never met a stranger and he met people where they were, as Jesus did. My heart is shattered. Elder white and I grew up as brother and sister rather than Nephew and Aunt. Although I was the oldest, he taught me how to ride a bicycle which was't easy. Living to far from home, he has helped me stay connected to family, and he could always cheer me up. He was our family historian. He had a good memory of family background. My love, prayer and God's comfort and strength to the immediate family. He will be missed but never forgotten. Aunt Gladys Johnson-Bradley

To the family, God is our strength. You may feel like you are alone but know that His word is true that He will never leave you nor forsake you. It is never easy when a loved one is called home; however John lived a saved life and therefore it is a a celebration that He is now ready for his crown. With much love, Deliah Seastrunk and family

My thoughts and prayers are offered to Bonnie and the Pastor White family. My friendship with John was one of strength and encouragement. I was often reminded by John of a trip we took traveling from Jarvis Christian College to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. He developed some car problems and had to hitch hike our way back home. To the entire White family, I send my most sincere condolences. I pray that God will Strengthen and Comfort during this season. One of the most familiar quotes from Pastor White I remember is he would often say: "some things were man sized problems and some were God sized, we just have to know when to step back and allow God to work". Elder John A. White was a great man of God, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. As a young convert I attending his revivals in Gainesville, Tx. one of his messages was "Why will you die" He was my Big Brother in Christ. When traveling to the COGIC State and National conventions, I was blessed through his wisdom and spiritual guidance over these many years. He and Lady Bonnie conducted a revival at our church in Houston, Tx. Many were blessed in that revival. Family We pray your strength the Lord. Be Encouraged.---Pastor W. L. Hennesy Sr, Houston, Tx.

In memory of Elder John White: Elder White gave me my first opportunity to preach in a revival meeting, as a young minister. It was his 3-night revival and the people were coming to hear him, but he wanted to give me an opportunity to train me in preaching a revival. He told me to preach first and he would come behind me. He had me preach the first 2 nights of that meeting, and I was a novice and the people tolerated me; But Elder White encouraged me! As a result, I am an international preacher, have 2 churches (one in Buffalo, NY & one in Canada) and a published author of 6 books! I honor Elder White for his mentorship and I say "Thank You!" We're praying for you, Sis. Bonnie White, and the family. From Pastor Mark & Cheryl Roberson & the Faith Word Fellowship International Church family.

Pastor White was just my Pastor and boss he was my friend. He married me and husband and always told my husband (Richard Waters), that you came in and took my secretary and member. He would often call us and check on us I'm going to miss those phone calls. I still have the last message that he left on my voice mail. Pastor White was a man of God that loved his family. He would always tell me if no one else at Forest Hill COGIC had his back he knew that I did.Sister White you and the entire family are in our prayers we love you and will continue to pray for you all. Eld. John White will always be my Pastor. Love Eld. Richard Waters & Queen Waters

Praying for strength for my Aunt Bonnie. Some days may be harder than others. Loosing a partner of over 50 years is heartbreaking. Loosing your rock, your companion. But one day it will be easier and memories will sustain you. Your niece Jan McKnight

Pastor John and Lady Bonnie White have been extraordinary in their love, care and concern for the people of God and their community. Pastor John demonstrated by act and deed how a gentleman and elder statesman should conduct himself. He shall forever be known as a man after God's heart! I am truly grateful that I had the honor of sitting in his living room and listening to the wisdom that comes from adversity and strength as he shared his family history. Not only a local historian but, a true teacher of God's word who exemplified love, mercy and grace to all that knew him. Lady Bonnie, I yet pray for your strength and God's comfort in the coming days as you lay your one great love to rest. Thanking God for his legacy and knowing that this great man built his legacy with the God's leading and you as his helpmeet. Love to you always! Evangelist Larna Powell

To the family of Pastor John White, which I feel that I am an extension of the family. Pastor White was my spiritual father for over 18 years. Not only was he my pastor but a friend to my family. He was such a man of wisdom, he spoke few words but when he did they were so profound. I remember a message he preached many many years ago. The Giants keep Coming, I have had to refer back to that message many times to keep the faith. I thank God for Pastor White, for he has received his crown that he worked so diligently for. Sis White you are in my prayers.

Elder John A. White was a great man and this is a great loss for our family. He was solid in character. Few men garner the respect he earned. He gave wisdom and spiritual guidance to all those he knew. In many of my life's major events John was there, supporting, encouraging and showing his loyalty and love. He will be sorely missed. May GOD grant strength, comfort and peace to Bonnie and all the children.---Joyce Waters

I never met Pastor John, But I was blessed to meet his wife through social media.I call her "Mama White". What began as a liked status and friend request turned out to be a divine connection. And though I never met Pastor John I know they say that a man's wife is a reflection of him. So even though he and I never met I know he had to be a kind man, a loving man, a caring man, a very wise and honorable man and a true and real servant of God.He had to be because that is what Mama White has been to me. I am eternally grateful for the privilege of knowing Mama White, I'm thankful for all of the prayers that she sent up for me in the darkest season of my life and as I give my deepest and most sincerest condolences, I am committed to returning the favor. ❀❀πŸ’ͺ🏽πŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½ -Dolores (Daughter From Chicago)
