Jamal Xavier Gardner, 20, of New Bern passed on January 7, 2021.

His service was 12:00 PM Thursday at Oscar's Memorial Grounds followed by the interment at the Joyce Moore Gardner Cemetery, Grantsboro.

He is survived by his father, Alfred Gardner, III and step-mother, Gwendolyn, New Bern; mother, Bridgette Mayes, Tallahasee, FL; two brothers, LaQuan Davis, New Bern and Michael Mayes, FL; one sister, Sasha Monique Gardner, New Bern; step-sister, Castella Davis. New Bern; grandparents, Alfred Gardner, Jr. & Joyce Gardner, Grantsboro; Janice Lockett; great-grandmother, Rosa Moore Tripp, Grantsboro.

I know him personally I grew up with him he was so full of life and Joy he will always be missed and I'm so terribly sorry for your loss and he is walking with the lord now.
