Jamal Xavier Gardner, 20, of New Bern passed on January 7, 2021.

His service was 12:00 PM Thursday at Oscar's Memorial Grounds followed by the interment at the Joyce Moore Gardner Cemetery, Grantsboro.

He is survived by his father, Alfred Gardner, III and step-mother, Gwendolyn, New Bern; mother, Bridgette Mayes, Tallahasee, FL; two brothers, LaQuan Davis, New Bern and Michael Mayes, FL; one sister, Sasha Monique Gardner, New Bern; step-sister, Castella Davis. New Bern; grandparents, Alfred Gardner, Jr. & Joyce Gardner, Grantsboro; Janice Lockett; great-grandmother, Rosa Moore Tripp, Grantsboro.
