Guest Book

I have been friend and coworker to John for close to 25 years. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with him because he was always eager to help anyone in any way he could. He always went above and beyond for everyone. He will surely have many jewels in his crown now that he has entered Heaven. We have shared many talks through the years and one thing for sure, John loved his daughters and those two granddaughters immensely. I was so happy that he met the love of his life in Sherri! I just hate he had to leave her so early. I will be in prayers for all of you. Just know that John was loved and respected by so many people at Robins Air Force base in Georgia. Debra Stephens

To all of John's friends and family members. I worked with John at Warner Robins AFB for a number of years and I was so saddened to hear of his passing. He was just a good man and an even better human being. Always had a smile on his face and willing to offer a helping hand. He loved his family dearly. God rest his soul and bring peace and lasting memories to all. Wycile M. Williams

God, as we mourn the loss of our loved one, John, we ask you to cover all of his families and friends with your wings of love. Give them courage so that they can stand before us and share the fond memories they have of their beloved. Father, it has been such a big blow to them as a family, but you are their strength and strong tower. We know that you love them so much and that you will take care of their needs. Lord, fill the gap that has been left in their hearts and give them the courage to face each day without John. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. Judy Wilson

A tribute of High Flight to my Air Force Buddy, John. Fly high and touch the face of God my good friend. Mike Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds,-and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of-wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air.... Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark nor ever eagle flew- And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God

Lasting impressions are far and few between these days . John had an energy and kind loving light that left a lasting impression . A hug like no other . John was a man that left a lasting impression on the lives he was a part of rather near or far . John you will be dearly missed by many . It was a privilege to have crossed paths with you . Rest in peace with the angels . Love the Brett Rogers family .

A prayer for John and Sherri with love. Annie. Eternal God, you made the union of man and woman a sign of the bond between Christ and the church. Grant mercy and peace to John, who was united in love with his wife Sherri. May the care and devotion of John's life on earth find a lasting reward in heaven. Look kindly on her Sherri and her family as now they turn to your compassion and love. Strengthen their faith and lighten their loss. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dearest John, "Some Where In Time - The man of my dreams has almost faded now. The one I have created in my mind. The sort of man each woman dreams of, in the deepest and most secret reaches of her heart. I can almost see him now before me. What would I say to him if he were really here? "Forgive me. I have never known this feeling. I have lived without it all my life. Is it any wonder, then, I failed to recognize you? You, who brought it to me for the first time. Is there any way I can tell you how my life have changed? Any way at all to let you know what sweetness you have given me? There is so much to say... I cannot find the words. Except for these: I love you." Such would I say to him if he were really here. Please come back to me". You're loving wife RI

To my Dearest Husband John. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6_5JLcii3A Somewhere in time We met on timeless hills And in the evening mist we kissed And time stood still Before the dawn, we found forever Moments are timeless when I feel your caress You'll always be in my heart And I know when love is true It's always with you Somewhere in time I came to realize Love never goes Love never goes Once it has touched your heart Just like the strength of wine that's left As two lips part A taste of love will linger after I know the meaning of all that I see You'll always be in my heart And I know when love is true It's always with you
