Mom Berry, words cannot express the sadness I feel just knowing that you're not with us on earth. But knowing your rejoicing in Heaven makes my heart leap for joy. You're like a second Mother to me. It's hard to put into words the God given experience we all had growing up together in Forth ward. Hazel will always be my best friend for life. I will never forget being part of the Berry family and your accepting me as one of your own. The sleep overs, Hazel and I getting on Grandma nerves her threatening to send me down the hill home and me begging her to please Grandma let me stay. Boy we had so much fun. Mom Berry brought us all up to Love God with all our hearts. She introduce us to Jesus, God, the holy spirit through songs, Christmas plays, Easter speeches, life lessons, and plain ole Motherly Love and discipline. Ever since my daughter sent me over the link today of Mom Berry homegoing service It sends me back to those times we all had together. I can't stop crying, happy tears, sad tears I lost my mother too Mom Berry. We're the only ones that can understand what it felt like being a family growing up on that hill and in that little pink house at the bottom of the hill. The unconditional love, the true friendship, the true family bond you allowed me to have with the Berry family. Finally, Mom Berry, was a woman of great strength, a true Missionary, a strong woman that loved the Lord. She taught us to Love God, and to Live for him, to serve him as she did. She taught how not to be shy or ashamed when serving God. But to put our all into serving the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Mom Berry you have finished your work down here and you completed it with excellence. You've earned your Crown and so much more. Thank you for helping to make me God fearing woman I am today. Rest In Heaven Mom Berry until we meet again Johnnie Mae P.S. To my Sisters and Brother, nieces, nephews my Best Friend for Life Hazel, Sarah, Mary, Aline, Anna, Arthur, Anne, Caroline, Lashun and the rest of the family. Grace and Peace Multiplied to you all. Currently I reside in California sorry I was not able to attend Mom Berry Homegoing. What a beautiful service.
