Tallahassee - Susie A. Ray 87, died Monday, January 4, 2021. Graveside service will be 2 P.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday, January 11, 2021 and Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 12 Noon to 6 P.M. Wake service will be Monday, January 11, 2021 from 5 P.M. to 6 P.M.

She was a member of St. Phillip A.M.E. Church, where she served as a stewardess and the kitchen aide committee. She was a graduate of Old Lincoln High School and received her cosmetology certification from the Florida A&M University Manpower program.

Survivors include one son, Tyrone Ray (Barbara); two sisters, Emily A. James (Wilson "Pete") and Dorothy A. McPherson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ray; a daughter, Tawanna Ray and a grandson, Austin Kyle Willacy Ray.

Miss Susie was a precious friend and neighbor. She wore a smile all the time and everyone was important. She always had time to share. She will be greatly missed. We will see her again one day. We love Miss Susie, Roy and Rosetta Land
