Obituary For Evelyn Virginia Dalton

Evelyn Dalton, 89, of Madison died January 10, 2021. A public viewing will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Perry- Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Collins Cemetery, Madison, NC. LIVESTREAM WILL BE AVAILABLE

One January 10, 2021 angels were sent to Moses Cone Hospital to escort our mother, Evelyn Virginia Dalton to her heavenly home. Evelyn was born December 24, 1931 in McDowell, West Virginia to the late Alex and Cottie Dalton. Evelyn was educated at Charles Drew Color School, Madison, NC. She was employed at Burlington Industries for 30 years, where she later retired be a stay- at -home Mom for her children. In her early life Evelyn accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She joined Beulah Baptist Church, Madison, NC under the leadership of the late Charles E. Carter. While at Beulah Baptist she served in several offices in the Lord’s house. She faithfully carried out her duties and made certain that everything was in the place of worship. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Laura Joyce, brothers, Raymond Broadnax, Charles Dalton, Alex Dalton, Jr and daughter, Helen Diane Moore.

Evelyn was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. To cherish her precious memories: five sons; William A. Broadnax (Christine), Mayodan, NC, Daryl J. Moore, Michigan, Tracy V. Moore, Hampton, VA, Charles M. Dalton, Greensboro, NC, Kirt Dalton (Jamie), Stoneville, NC, six daughters; Evelyn Lowe (Danny), Tammy M. Lowe, Jennifer M. Roberts (Floyd) all of Madison, NC, Kathryn A. Carter, Stoneville, NC, Cathy M. Strange, Raleigh, NC, Chris A. Dalton, Lousiana and a host of other relatives and friends.
