Obituary For Robert Jones, Jr.

Robert Marcus Jones, 97, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord peacefully in his home on January 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Maude Jones; grandson, Jerry Alvin Smith. Surviving are his devoted wife, Lillie K. Jones of 73 years; daughter, Margaret Smith; sons, James Williams, Alfred Jones (Zola) and Robert Jones, II; five grandchildren, Stephanie Grant (Darien), Rochelle Jones, Robin Mayes (Lawrence), Marcus Jones (Erica) and Chantell Jones; six great grandchildren, Darien and Nicholas Grant, Robert Brown, Marcus Jones, Jaelynn and Lawryn Mayes; brother-in-law, Aubrey Kenney (Rose Marie); host of nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where a walk through viewing will be held Tuesday, January 19 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held 12 noon Wednesday, January 20 at Roselawn Memory Gardens. My sincere condolences to the entire Jones family. Stephanie is one of my best friends and has been for more than 45 years. I remember seeing Mr. Jones sitting in the back room caring for his grandson for many years. He was a sweet, kind person who was truly loved by his family.
