Obituary For Claude Talford

Claude was born in Grenada, Mississippi to Sylvia Jean Talford and Leroy Watt. His father preceded him in death. He was raised to be resilient and strong by his late grandfather, Richard Talford (Ethel), who guided him into manhood. He dedicated his life to Christ on May 12, 1968, at White Stone M.B. Church, but later joined and became a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Claude passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis on Thursday January 7,2021.Claude leaves a loving mother, Sylvia Talford O’Galdez; a beloved and devoted wife, Jane Venson-Talford; an adored and caring daughter, Ashley Chanel Talford; three steadfast brothers, Norvell Watt, Leroy Deandre Watt and Kevin Talford; nieces and nephews; cousins; other family and a host of friends. The viewing will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at R S Lewis & Sons Funeral Home, 2944 Walnut Grove, Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Brown Baptist Church located at 7200 Swinnea Road Southaven, Mississippi 38671. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Memphis, TN.
