Mr. Gary Leon Stinson was born on April 26, 1945, to the late Mrs. Gladys Ross in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. He attended public school in Upson County and graduated from Drake High School. He also attended several years of college.

Gary enjoyed traveling. He worked on the Railroad, which took him to many cities and states. Gary lived all around the country and would always stop and visit his family when passing through. During his leisure time, he enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and fishing.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, close cousins, Willie Frank Grantling, Jr. J.C. Grantling, and Charlie Floyd Grantling. On Tuesday, January 6, 2021, in Sparta GA, the Lord called his name. He answered and went home to rest.
