Haywood, I never had the opportunity to meet your mother. However, I do know that fruit does not fall far from the tree that bears it. Having known you for the past 59 years, she must have been a loving, caring individual with a kindred spirit. My condolences, thoughts and prayers are with you and the family, during this difficult time. It is my prayer that God will favor each of you with His grace, love, and peace. I am sorry that I cannot be with you personally, But rest assured I am there with you in spirit. Love you, Brother. Lewis Whiteside, Shelby NC.

I first met Grace when she came to me for her auto insurance. Grace was a dear soul! A customer that I loved to see come through my office door. During February, 2001, I moved my mama from Eastern North Carolina to Shelby. Mama and Grace lived at Marion West Apartments. In fact, they lived across the street from each other. Mama and I always enjoyed visiting with Grace. Rest in peace sweet, sweet lady!! Liz Todd Shelby, NC
