Elizabeth was born on August 14, 1942 in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Floyd Dickerson, Sr. and Gladys Jones Dickerson. She departed this life on January 10, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston Salem, NC. Elizabeth attended Southside High School and at an early age she devoted her life to Christ. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Green Moore. There she was a member of the Senior Choir. Elizabeth worked for Ridgeway Clock for over 20 years. After retirement she stayed home and helped care for her grandchildren. She was a lovely and devoted mom, grandma, friend, who loved her family dearly. She was always there to give a helping hand to anyone. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Witcher, sister, Mary Ollie Dickerson Poole and two brothers, Clyde & Jerry Dickerson.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters; Jean Hunter (Michael), Martinsville, VA, Deborah Kenan of the home, two sons; Ricky Witcher (Radonna) of Eden, NC, Jonathan Witcher of the home, six grandchildren; Latasha Brown (Jordy), Branden Lindsey (Victoria), Keirra Hairston, Isaiah Witcher, Hannah Witcher, Ja’Niya Witcher, eight great grandchildren; Nyasia, Tyrese, Kamari, Kanasia, Amiya, Ava, Kameron, Paige. Four brothers; Floyd Dickerson, Jr. (Thelma), Alvin & Michael Dickerson all of Dry Fork, VA, Ray Dickerson (Glenda) of Martinsville, VA, two sisters; Kathryn Dillard (Jimmy) of Axton, VA, Minister Thelma Hairston (David) of Ridgeway, VA, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who she loved dearly.
