OBITUARY

It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone. For part of us went with you The morning God called you home.

MRS. DONNIE FAYE FAULK BRAGG, affectionately called, “Donna”, departed this life Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Jamaica, NY. She was born June 24, 1950 to Curtis and Dorothy Speller Faulk in Windsor, NC. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Luther Faulk (nick named Best Man) and Curtis Faulk.

At an early age Donna was baptized and joined Pleasant Oak Baptist Church, Windsor, NC. She graduated from Southwestern High School, Windsor, NC in 1968. During her high school years, she was a member of the marching band and loved playing the clarinet. After high school, Donna moved to New York and enrolled at a Junior College where she received a two-year degree in Administrative Studies. She worked at a management placement agency on Park Avenue for several years. Later she was employed by Ogilvy and Mather of New York, NY and remained until she retired with twenty-five years of service. She attended Morning Star Baptist Church, Jamaica, NY. Donna was married to Calvin Bragg. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Her jovial demeanor brought life to many gatherings as she enjoyed being with family and friends. She was adored by her family, friends, co-workers, and all who knew her. Donna loved to read and watch Westerns. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a loving husband of 41 years, Calvin Bragg, Jamaica, NY; her parents- Curtis and Dorothy Faulk, Windsor, NC; a brother- Bernard (Lisa) Faulk, Winston Salem, NC; two sisters- Dorothy Faulk (Elvis Summers), Greensboro, NC, and Jennifer (Anthony) Artis, Raleigh, NC; two brothers-in-law, Hardy (Evelyn) Bragg, Charlotte, NC, and Norbourne (Joann) Bragg, South Hill, VA; one niece- Jessica Faulk Dillard; one nephew- Turner Bernard, II; one great-niece, Alessondra Faulk; one great-nephew, Ethan Faulk, and a host of cousins and friends.
