Mrs. Stewart: A warm, loving and genuinely kind 'mother figure' to so many in the Morgan Park neighborhood. You will truly be missed but it's time for you to take your rest; we love you but God loves you best. Love and condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Stewart.

I remember when I first met Mary. She treated me as if I was part of her family and welcomed me with open arms. She always had the biggest smile on her face I'd ever seen and a beautiful heart that she gave to everyone she knew. I know God has an Angel in heaven now. Mary you will be truly missed. To Mary's family, I'm wishing you comfort and peace in the days ahead. God bless, Erica Jenkins (Debbie & Douglas Jenkins daughter)

To our Stewart Family, "I am glad you came!" was said by Grandma Mary as we prepared to leave during our visit in December. That sentence and the sincerity with which it was said represented all of our time with her throughout our lives. She always made us feel special, welcomed and loved. We have so many wonderful memories of the good times with our Stewart Family at the Stewart Family Homestead! Grandma Mary blessed us with her wisdom, gifts, smiles, hugs, conversations, hospitality, cards, and food. Grandma Mary showed how a person should live a Believer's life! Her love of God, God's children and God's creation were evident in her respectful and loving treatment of others. Her faith in God was seen in her daily living and her reliance on Him. Grandma Mary demonstrated how to love and to raise children. We are not sure if anyone truly knows all of the children she helped, fed, cleaned, babysat, loved, taught, inspired and celebrated! We just know that she took very good care of us! However – she was not a pushover which is why she was a popular childcare provider for the neighbors and family. If you wanted the truth – or if you did not want the truth – she would tell you – all in love! If you needed extra encouragement, you received that, too. If you wanted or needed a good meal – a delicious meal – a nutritious meal – a complete meal – Grandma Mary had it for you! To our uncles and aunt, thank you! We are praying for you and we love you. God blessed Grandma Mary with you - her loving, compassionate and caring children. We are thankful to you for giving Grandma Mary first-class care. You have given us examples of how to love unconditionally and to care unselfishly for those in need – especially family. Rest in God's Will and rest on God's Word. Philippians 4:6 - 8 is a good passage of scripture to pray. "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (KJV) Grandma Mary's life is a reminder to all of us – young and old – to appreciate each day. Express your love and honor when the person is present. Honor your elders. Teach your children. Love each other. Thank you, God, for giving us many years of love from a true phenomenal woman of God. Lovingly and prayerfully, Your Cleveland Family The Grandchildren, Grand-grandchildren and Great-great grandchildren
