Obituary For Mr. Harrison Richardson

Mr. Harrison Richardson was born on April 29, 1941 in Halifax, Virginia to Buggie and Mable Richardson. On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, God called him out of this earthly home to be with him in paradise for eternity.

Harrison, who was affectionately known as β€œRichard” attended the public schools of Halifax, Virginia. As a youth, he attended Mountain Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Halifax. He was employed at Dibbers Brothers Tobacco Company and Smith Fertilizer Company in Danville, Virginia. He relocated to Lake City, South Carolina in 1973. In Lake City, he was employed at Talon Corporation and Coleman, Inc. He also joined Mount Clair Missionary Baptist Church in Lake City, South Carolina.

Richard was a hard-working man, who loved his family and provided for his family. He loved his wife dearly and all of his children, as well as his nieces and nephews. He was a quiet man that expressed his love with his actions, not his words. He was like another father to the children and grandchildren of his sister-in-law, Joann. He will be greatly missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister; his mother and father-in-law; and his sister-in-law, Joann Moore.

Richard leaves to cherish fond memories: his loving wife, Luvenia Richardson of the home; his daughters: Harriet Richardson of Danville, Virginia, Helena {William} Peatross of Ringgold, Virginia, Holly Gwynn of Danville, Virginia and Hannah {Alex} Lee of Ringgold, Virginia; his sons: Akil Richardson and Jeremiah Richardson of the home; Josh and Caleb Law of Florence, South Carolina; one sister: Evangelist Gloria Adams of Danville, Virginia; a granddaughter: Amore Emonii Richardson; eight additional grandchildren; a special cousin who was like a brother A.C. (Margie) Womack and family; two special cousins that were like sisters: Edna Womack and Nana Womack and their families; a special daughter: Marva Law of Florence, South Carolina; special nieces and nephews: Dwight {Tan} Adams, Ralph {Doretha} Singletary, Winifred Selina {Theron McCuthceon} Adams, Lee Benton {Lisa} Adams, James Moore, Thomas Moore, Chacitie Brandy {Kelvin} Jones, Taronda Pickett, Nathan Adams, Corey Adams, Shameka {Bryant} McFadden, Antonio Leon {Shaka} Myers and Justin Adams and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
