Obituary For Sam Robinson

Brother Sam Robinson Sr. was born on November 26, 1929 to Ed and Ella Carter Robinson. He accepted Christ and joined Friendship Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully until his health declined. He retired from Bibb Manufacturing Company after 40 years. Being the man he was, you would see him doing odd jobs in the community keeping the city of Hamilton looking good.

Sam married Fannie Walker and they were blessed with a son Sam Jr.; and two daughters Lois and Wunda (Nay).

On January 10. 2021 Sam transitioned to his heavenly home as he longed to be around God’s throne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Ella Carter Robinson; his faithful and loving wife: Fannie Walker Robinson; his son in law: Joseph Green; his siblings: Frank, John Wesley , Arthur B, Leon, James, Eddie Mae, Pearl and Ellen.

He is survived by his children: Lois Green, Sam Robinson Jr., and Wunda Copeland (Nay). The legacy continues with 8 grandchildren: Michale (Carolyn), Steven, Keith (Sharon), Rhona (Reggie), Tiffany, Ginger, Tensley (Sherenthia) and Jonathan (Krystal). His great-grandchildren: Breanna, Jasmine, Brandon, Michale, Brandi, Kaylen, Artasijia, Destiny, Braxton, Ty’Kerria, Taryn, Rhyan, Jaime, Kari, Tavarus, and Ava. Two great-great grandchildren: Davin and Royal. He is also survived by two sisters: Sallie Billings and Ella Middlebrooks; one brother: Willie (Emma) Robinson; one brother in law: Charlie (Frances) Walker; two sisters in law: Venora Person and Louise Walker; nieces and nephews who always held a special place in his heart; relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held January 15, 2021 at Terry Funeral Home from 12pm-3pm. Face coverings required.

Graveside Service will be January 16, 2021 @ 11am at Friendship Memorial Gardens. Face coverings required and six feet social distance will be enforced.
