Obituary For Renee Bess

Renee Bess, age 72, of Athens, GA passed January 11, 2021.

She was born November 13, 1948 to William Henry Sr., and Maybell Taylor in Queen General Hospital. Renee attended school in Brooklyn, PS93 SHJ and Clara Barton High School. She attended Queens Borough Community College for Nursing but started a career at NY Tell, which later became Verizon. After 39 years, she retired.

Private funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at The Chapel of Jackson-McWhorter Funeral Home. Public viewing, Monday 12-6 PM, at the funeral home.

Survivors include: two daughters and one son, Yolanda James, Tracey Bess and Gregory McWhirter; two adopted children, Edward Bess and James Bess; one brother, Ray Arlan Bess, Sr.; eleven grandchildren, Diondre Bess, Kassius James, Khasheem Davis, Dahjmer Ashley, Lyeaeke McWhirter, Rosa McWhirter, Max McWhirter, Skylar Birth, Aaron McWhirter, Khilie McWhirter and Olympia McWhirter; eight great grandchildren.
