Obituary For Ora B Bentley

Ora Bell Ellington Bentley, affectionately called ("Osie Bell"), was born in Sallis, MS on February 20, 1942. She was one of six children born to the late Willie L. and Annie D. Hutchinson Ellington. She quietly left this life for eternity on Monday, January 11, 2021.

Ora Bell was educated at the Sallis High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Macedonia M.B. Church in Sallis, MS. She later joined New Jericho M.B. Church in Sallis, MS. Eventually, she returned to Macedonia M.B. Church where she remained a faithful member. On December 19, 1961, Ora Bell married her sweetheart, Percy Bentley, Sr. To this union five beautiful children were born. Ora Bell was preceded in death by her parents, Willie L. and Annie D. Ellington, her husband, Percy Bentley, Sr., a son, David Bentley, brother, Willie L. Ellington, Jr., two sisters, Minnie Brooks and Charlie Mae Cain, two sons-in-law, Jerry Snow and Damon McMorris, a grand-daughter, Tiffany Owens, and a great grand-daughter, Paigan E'Mari Snow.

Osie Bell leaves to celebrate her life her four children: Percy (Shirley) Bentley, Jr. of Houston, TX, Minnie Snow of Sallis, MS, LySandra McMorris of Byram, MS, and Adam (Angie) Bentley of Sallis, MS; two brothers: Robert (Linda) Ellington of Detroit, MI and Kary Ellington of Sallis, MS; three grand-daughters: Sheree Twain Snow of Miami, FL, Likeba Ishae Bentley of Richland, MS, and Mikkeala (Fatai) Gbajabiamila of Houston, TX; four grandsons: Doniexau Jerome Snow and Legerald Antwain Snow of Sallis, MS Damon Jabree McMorris of Byram, MS and Zanthony Long of Houston, TX; five great grand-children: Jimirah, Yemisi, Kadence, Latrell and Joshlyn; three sisters-in-law, Perley Jackson, Sylvia Bentley and Diane Bentley, all of Sallis, MS; three brothers-in-law, William (Helen) Bentley of Detroit, MI; T Young (Esdelia) Bentley of Jackson, MS, and Roosevelt Bentley of Sallis, MS; Specila foster sisters and brothers: Fabian (Crystal) Wiley, Sarah (Stan) McKinney, Inez Martin, Callie Love, and Dennis Horton.

She also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
