You were more than just my Uncle you helped raise and keep us inline... remember the days of way back our fishing trips...DreamLand, Wood St. What a great example you were gave us all hope we could grow up and get out having a better life. Uncle Lonnie, I was shocked to hear that u were no longer with us. But I just want to thank u for being there for my daddy(Willie) when we couldn't be there. My brothers (Smedga and Oschlor) and I (Monita), couldn't have asked for a better person to handle his business. U will always have a special place in our hearts. Worked with Lonnie for many years and really enjoyed being with him. A fine man and a great officer. He will be sorely missed.

I was so sorry to hear last week from a school coworker about Lonnie's passing. We were high school classmates of Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD. Lonnie was an outstanding student and well-respected by all. I'm so thankful I reconnected with about three years ago and caught up on the past 45 years. Lonnie will be missed.🙏 Sheila Justiss
