Mr. Jimmie Lee (Jim) Bivens was born on August 5, 1956 in Worth County, Ga to the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter, Sr. and Adella Polite Bivens.
Jimmie was educated in the Worth County Public School System, and graduated from Worth County High School in 1974. After graduating from high school, he moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan. While living in Grand Rapids, Jimmie met and married Sherry Marshall. This union was blessed with three daughters, one whom preceded him in death, Natika Marshall. Jim was employed with Nicholas Plastic Manufacturing as an Extrusion Supervisor for over forty years. After retirement, Jim moved back home to Poulan, Georgia. Jim confessed his faith in Jesus Christ in the mid 1960’s, and became a member of Porter’s Corners Church On January 15, 2021, God saw fit to call Jim from Labor to Reward. He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Markesha Bivens, Margarita Adkinson, both of Warwick, Georgia; six grandchildren, Alizay, Kiondria, Kingston, Uriah T, Breasia, Eli; one great grandchild, Naydon; eight siblings, Willie Frank(Evelean) Bivens of Moultrie, Georgia, Adella Marlin, Louise Williams, Anthony(Loretha) Bivens, Sr., all of Sylvester, Georgia, Walter(Barbara) Bivens, Jr. of Winterhaven Florida, Ella Cunningham, Fannie Bivens, Willie Lee (Betty) Bivens, all of Poulan, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
