Obituary For Betty Prothro

Graveside service for Betty Louise Prothro 69, will be Saturday, January 23, at 2:30 pm at the Anniston Memorial Gardens with Pastor Angelo Groce, officiating. Ms. Prothro passed away on January 14, 2021 in Power Springs, GA. Ms. Prothro was a member of Rest Haven Missionary Baptist Church, she retired from East Alabama Planning and Development Commission after 44 years of service. Survivors include her children: Trent Prothro, Felicia Prothro (Alvin Fisher), Quincy (Nina) Prothro, Sylvia "Tennille" and Alandis Robinson; grandchildren: Karl, Kyron, Kelly and Antoine Bronner, Kendall, Kenan (Asia), Kimberly, Kayla (Calvin), Keondra, Kendra (Caleb), Jasmine, Symone, Delores, Quincy Jr., Dorian, Jayda, Ava, DJ, Brianna, Alandis Jr., Jordan, Alexis; great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Simon and Fannie Thornton, siblings, Rena Mae Thornton, Willie and Robert Thornton, Sandra Abernathy, Patricia Thornton. Anniston Funeral Service Jeffrey C. There was no one in this world like your mother. I always admired Betty's caring and selfless nature. Your mama was an amazing lady, and I feel privileged to have known her. Betty's kindness was contagious and her memory will live on forever. Like you, I will miss her deeply. Felecia, Trent, Quincy, Sylvia and the entire Prothro family, I am so sorry for your loss. My time with your mum will never be forgotten, she was incredibly strong and passionate. I admired the way she lived her life and the light she bought to others.
