Irene Dixon Yussif transition from this life on January 11, 2021, at Pruitt Health Services in Swainsboro, Georgia. She was the daughter of Corine Dixon. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at James and Virginia Davis Chapel. Mask and Social Distancing required. Irene began her life journey in New York in search of a better life. During her journey, she met Andrew Brown and installed her membership at Saint Paul Baptist Church for many years. Later on in life she met Jackie Woods and had her second daughter Ladawne Woods. Her life revolved around her children. She made sure that they were taken care of and at the same time instilled southern values to enrich them and to help keep them strong. She worked at North General Hospital where she retired after 32 years of service. Irene returned to Louisville in 2010 to live out the rest of her life. She is a member of the Spring Benevolent Society. Those who preceded her in death are her husband, Karbio Yussif and a daughter, Ladawne Woods. Irene leaves to cherish her memories; Mother, Corine D. Brown of Louisville, Georgia, One Daughter, Charneta Brown, Brother, Richard lee Washington, a favorite cousin, Tammy Hill of New York, New York, devoted and loving friends, Dorothy Matthew, and Ellen Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia and other loving relatives, family and friends.
