It is with profound sadness that the family of Bruce Elliot Press announce his passing on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the age of 69 years.

Bruce grew up in Hampton, Virginia and later graduated from Virginia Tech. He served as a police officer for 27 years with the Williamsburg Police Department, where he met the love of his life, Joyce. After retirement, Bruce and Joyce moved to Georgia for their next great adventure. An avid traveler, he went to Alaska and Hawaii in recent years. Bruce was an animal lover who owned numerous collies and shetland sheepdogs over the years. He was known for his goofy smile, appreciation of a good steak, and love of his family.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Joyce; children: Maximillion (Rebecca), Tabitha (Joseph), and Amanda (Matthew); grandchildren: Hannah and Virginia; brother, Jeffrey (Marleen) as well as numerous relatives and friends.

A celebration of Bruce's life will be held virtually on Sunday January 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Henry County Georgia Humane Society.
