Obituary For Occlyde Moore

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 12:00 noon, Garden Memorial Park, 8001 Highway 49, Jackson, MS 39209.

Occlyde Moore was born to the late Jacob and L.E. Moore on February 22, 1932, he departed this life on January 15, 2021. Moore graduated from Lanier High School, Alcorn and traded at Hinds Jr College. He was a faithful member of Pearl Street Methodist Church until his health failed. He is preceded in death by two brothers: Jacob Sonny Moore, and Wycliff Moore; sisters: Hattie Marie Lipscomb, and Lorraine Cooper; wife, Earlene Moore; daughter, Angelita Moore. Left to mourn, a faithful and devoted daughter, Ms. Gina L. Moore of Jackson, MS; three sisters: Mrs. Jessie Grisham (Richard), Lee Garland (Gary), and Mrs. Jerri Brown (Al); one brother, Jerome “Butch” Moore; four grandchildren: Shaleria Johnson-Miller, Leonard “Bo” Dee, Darius “Skeeter” Dee and Bianca Murriel; four great grandchildren: Karmyn, Amadi, King and Journee; two very special nephews, Ronald Grisham and Antonio Grisham; one god son, Mr. Larry Pate; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
