Obituary for Waundrae “Nika” McDow Ingram

Waundrae Anita McDow Ingram, 51, entered eternal rest Tuesday, January 12, 2021. She was born on November 13, 1969 in Lancaster, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Dorothy McDow Faulkner and the late Cornell Johnson, Jr.

Waundrae, affectionately called “Nika” to some of her family and friends was educated in the Lancaster County School System. She was a 1988 graduate of Lancaster High School. She began her working career as a young woman. She retired from McClancy Seasoning after twenty years of service.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Robert of Lancaster, SC; one daughter, Kanisha McDow of Lancaster, SC; one son, Christopher J. Brown of Lancaster, SC; her mother, Dorothy M. Faulkner of Lancaster, SC; stepson, Marquis Wright of Lancaster, SC; five grandchildren, Christopher M. Brown, Tristan Brown, Jaxson Brown, Xavier Wright and Kaniya Wright; six brothers, Patrick Harris of Lancaster, SC, Tierre Johnson of Greensboro, NC, Omar Johnson, Courtney Johnson, Damon Johnson and Demarcus Johnson all of Wingate, NC; seven sisters, Sherri Smith (Robert) of Pageland, SC, Gerri Johnson and Onya Johnson of Wingate, NC, Kimberly Witherspoon (Bobby), Twanna Faulkner and Crystal Brevard (Billy) of Lancaster, SC, and Dawanda Johnson of Heath Springs, SC; one Godson, Tyresse Barnes and many aunts and uncles.

Private Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 21, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be conducted by Reverend Jerusha Gaither and Reverend Dr. B.L. Stinson.
