Shirley Mitchell Venable, 73, of Chesterfield, died January 18, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Mitchell, Sr. and brother, Sylvester "Vest" Mitchell. Surviving are her husband, George H. Venable, Jr.: son, George H. Venable, III (Elizabeth); mother, Allie Mae Mitchell; eight grandchildren,; one great granddaughter, brother, Robert Mitchell, Jr. (Penny); nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Tuesday, January 26 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 27 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E.
