Obituary For Jewel Thompson Gamble

Ms. Jewel Thompson Gamble, 70, departed this life January 13, 2021 at her residence in Augusta GA. She was born in Jefferson County to the Late Sarah Gibbons and Edgar Burton. Jewel was a 1972 graduate of Louisville High school. She lived in Louisville a later moved to Augusta Ga where she attended Augusta Technical college, graduated in Dietitian. Jewel worked at Fort Gordan as a Cook and later opened up her own personal care home in Augusta GA known as "Fannie". She loved fishing and bowling with the Grandchildren. She joined the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church at an early age until she moved to Augusta and joined Macedonia Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 1:00 P.M. in Helen Park, Peachtree Street, Louisville, GA.

Survivors include her children, Janet Thompson Hepzibah GA, and Kendul Noble, Augusta GA; Siblings , Andrew Gibbons, Mark(Sarah) Gibbons, and Bessie Gibbons all of Bridgeton N.J., Luke Gibbons of Alloway N.J., Mary and Penny Gibbons of Vineland NJ, Zenobie Richardson of Trenton SC, Wille Mae and Essie Thelma Burton of Newark NJ, Rebecca and Betty Burton of Louisville GA, Johnny Gibbons of Augusta GA, Henry Burton of Columbia S.C. and a deceased sister, Annie Houston-Armstead ; Grandchildren Elizabeth, Elexis, and Reco Taylor, Malik Thompson, Donavon Noble all from Augusta GA; One Great Grandchild, Malik Thompson Jr. Augusta GA; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
