Mr. Kevin D. Spivey, Sr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday, October 8, 1980 to the parents of Mr. Robert Spivey and Ms. Johnnie M. Colbert.

Kevin was the eldest of two children. Kevin received his early education in Dekalb County Schools. Kevin always enjoyed nurturing and helping others. He always knew he wanted to own his own business. His first experience was working with Southern Transportation. This introduced him to the transportation industry.

Therefore, he later went to school to obtain his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Associate's Certification. Kevin used his certification to open Medtrans Transportation Service. He successfully ran his company for more than fifteen (15) years. He received honorable mentions and accolades for helping and servicing the community during that time. Although Kevin lived his life fun-filled and happy, his main and true passions were his children. He loved being a father and spending unconditional time with them.

On Thursday, January 20, 2021, the Lord called Kevin and he answered His call.

He went peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, mother, father, and Stephanie. He affectionately called Stephanie his "Care Bear". Throughout his life span, Kevin fathered five beautiful and dynamic children: Kevin D. Spivey II, Aaliyah Smith, Joshua Spivey, Dominique Spivey, and Christopher Spivey. Kevin leaves his best friend and loving supporting sister, Ms. Shani N. Spivey and a host of relatives and friends with unforgettable happy memories and times filled with love and laughter.
