Daniel Campbell

It is with great sadness as we announce the passing of Daniel Campbell on Sunday January 17, 2021. Daniel was born on March 19, 1950, in Red Springs, NC. His parents Lacy and Ruth Campbell predeceased him in death.

Daniel will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Janice. His daughters Jacqueline; husband Darnell, Jocelyn, husband; Louis, Erin husband; Adrian. Six grandchildren: Cayden, Brooklyn, Brady, Trey, Sosa, and Salei.

To cherish his memory he leaves: Lacy Campbell and wife Darlene, Martin Campbell and wife Daisy, all of Red Springs, NC. Thurman Campbell; wife Thelma of Raleigh, NC. James B. Campbell; wife Sherry of Hope Mills, NC. Dennis T. Campbell; wife Roniece of Yorktown, V.A. Five daughters, Eula C. McNeil, husband; Henry, Eddye Faye Murray; husband, James, Betty Ruth Goodyear, Mollie Williams, all of Red Springs. Ella C. Flowers and husband Kenneth of Manassas, VA. Two brothers predeceased him in death James Campbell and Elex Campbell. One sister-in-law Linda Swann Tanks of Front Royal, V.A., 3 brothers-in-law; Melville Tibbs and Joann of Haymarket, V.A., Kenneth Tibbs and Patricia of Stephens City, V.A., Lloyd and Brenda of Sterling, V.A. Daniel was also loved by a host of nieces and nephews. Daniel attended Sand Hill Community College in Pinehurst, North Carolina. He furthered his education at Barber-Scotia College in Concord, North Carolina. After graduation, Daniel enrolled in UNC-Charlotte to earn a Masters Degree in Accounting and Business Management. He began his career at Durham Business College as a Federal Accountant, while teaching Accounting at Kings College, Durham NC. In 1985, Daniel changed careers and joined Durham Exchanged Club Industries, until he retired in 2015 after 30 years. He joined Lincoln Memorial Baptist Church in 1986. He served on the Trustee Board, Deacon Board, Male Chorus, Laymen's League and other capacities. Daniel retired from his duties in 2019 as his health did not allow him to serve consistency. "I am the Vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." John 15:5

Graveside service will be held at Glennview Memorial Park 2515 NC Hwy 55, Durham, NC on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 1:00 pm, viewing at 12 noon.

Masks are to be worn and social distancing required at all meetings, visits and services. All acts of kindness are appreciated during this difficult time.

Flowers will not be accepted on behalf of the family at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home. The family will advise you where to send flowers.
